Tuesday thoughts: Disgusting

November 25, 2009

Well, funny story. We had like 700 words written. Then the HTML side of WordPress got all wonky, inserting <b> tags where there shouldn’t be any for what seems to be no particularly good reason (who needs that much bold in their life?). So we saved the post as a draft and reloaded. Then the entire thing was gone. The whole thing. Vanished. Maybe it will come back some day. We don’t know. We don’t think so either.

Frankly, it was a labor to write 700 words that boiled down to, “one line showed up, Providence got a few bounces, and Lowell spent the entire second half of the game being too cute (© Lowell 1997-2009). The fact that it ended 4-2, just like the last game at Providence, makes the game look closer than it was, just like the last game at Providence.” Unless your name is Chris Auger, Ben Holmstrom or Paul Worthington, feel free to be ashamed of yourself, boys.

We also had something in there about how BU had double the Hockey East losses at this point last year that Lowell does now, and how that doesn’t make us feel any better after a pathetic effort like this.

We can’t be bothered to write any more about this game. If the team didn’t care enough, why should we?

I hope they enjoyed their #3 ranking for the day. Top five teams don’t let lousy teams dictate the pace. Isn’t this around the same time their swoon started last year? while I think this team is better than that one, the effort and urgency needs to be there everytime. let’s hope they stop the bleeding against Maine. It appears they may have overlooked PC, Friday’s game has just become rather important.

As with the review of Spinal Tap’s famous “Shark Sandwich” LP, the same two words are appropriate for last night’s performance as well: Sh*t Sandwich.

Well, the first star is the best player of the game, so it makes sense one star is the best rating.
